The Serial Port Plug-in is a client plug-in for Servoy. It supports sending and receiving data from any standard (RS-232) serial port device. Both physical and virtual ports are supported. The plug-in also includes the ability to assign custom methods to be triggered upon serial port events.
With the Serial Port Plug-in, you can:
- Receive data from a serial port device.
- Send data to a serial port device.
- Easily assign custom methods to handle serial port events using 11 different "Callback" methods.
- Allow user-defined serial port properties using the Preference Panel.
- Supports sending and receiving both standard ASCII and Hex-encoded strings and includes methods to convert between them.
